Parent Resources

This section will include specific information about

  • Calendar Events -- specific dates and times of events which will be of interest to parents
  • Tools for Home Use -- activities you can use with your child to improve their achievement in school and/or to prepare them to be ready for school
  • Helpful Hints/Tips -- ideas you can put in place at home to support your child's learning
  • Parent Session: Dates, location, times -- we will include informaiton here on what you need to know about what is oging on in the region, when it is, where it will be held, and the times of the session.

Bay-Arenac ISD offers a number of programs to assist parents in Bay and Arenac Counties including:

Great Parents, Great Start is a program which provides parents with

  1. Child Development information for children from birth to age five,
  2. Parent-child interaction to include reading 30 minutes per day,
  3. Learning opportunities which promote social, physical, and intellectual growth
  4. Access to community services.

Parent Involvement Enrichment Center (PIE) 

The Center promotes healthy parent-child relationships, helping to assure that each child learns, develops, and grows ready for school.  With assistance from trained parent educators, parents are able to identify individual parenting goals and create a monthly activity program that works best for their family. Parenting opportunities include free classes on various topics that help parents prepare their child for school success. Connections to community and web-based resources and information about free community services are available. Early Literacy/Math Screening prior to entering kindergarten is also available through the Center for those entering a Bay City Public School.
