CDA - Child Development Associate Training

This is a 120 hour course for persons interested in becoming credentialed in Child Development (CDA). The following content areas are covered: planning a safe, healthy environment to invite learning; steps to advance children's physical and intellectual development; positive ways to support children's social and emotional development; strategies to establish productive relationships with families; maintaining a commitment to professionalism; observing and recording children's behavior; and principles of child growth and development. Class will meet Mondays & Wednesdays except when there is a conflict due to building closures, then class will meet on either Tuesday or Thursday for make-ups. Textbook will be purchased the first night of class. This class meets two nights a week for 15 weeks from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.  Class begins Wednesday, September 8, 2010.

Fall 2010 Registration

Begins Monday, August 23, 2010

Certified Nursing Assistant  ONLY: Registrations will be taken on a first come first serve basis until program is full starting Monday, August 23, 2010 from  9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

All Other Adult Education Program Registrations: Registrations will be taken on a first come first serve basis until program(s) are full starting Monday, August 23, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

August 24 - 31, 2010 Registration Hours will be

Monday - Thursday from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Starting Tuesday, September 7, 2010, registrations will be taken Monday - Thursday from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. 

Registrations will NOT be taken on Fridays.

   Classes begin week of September 7, 2010.
