Alternative Education (Pupils)

Alternative Education or Pupils are students who are 16 to 19 years of age as of September 1 of the current school year, who do not have a High School Diploma or GED Credential and NOT enrolled in or attending a traditional high school.

Registration Process

ALL students 16-19 years of age as of September 1 wanting to enroll in Adult Education courses may do so FREE OF CHARGE starting Monday, August 23, 2010 in person only at 4155 Monitor Road, Bay City, MI  48706.  Students will begin the registration process by providing us with the following:

  • Proof of birthdate (i.e. Driver's License, State ID Card, or Birth Certificate); AND
  • Complete transcript(s) from the last attending high school or facility where credits were earned.  NOTE: Students returning to our program who have provided us with a transcript will not be required to bring another copy, but it may be verified that one is in the file at time of registration.

If all above criteria is not provided/met, the student will NOT be allowed to enroll.  Registrations are on a first come first serve basis, and can not be guaranteed.

The last day for a Pupil to register for the 2010 semester is Wednesday, September 29, 2010.

 

Career Technical Courses are also available to Pupils FREE OF CHARGE.  The descriptions, times and days are available under the Career Technical Programs section of the website.

Fall 2010 Registration

Begins Monday, August 23, 2010

Certified Nursing Assistant  ONLY: Registrations will be taken on a first come first serve basis until program is full starting Monday, August 23, 2010 from  9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

All Other Adult Education Program Registrations: Registrations will be taken on a first come first serve basis until program(s) are full starting Monday, August 23, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

August 24 - 31, 2010 Registration Hours will be

Monday - Thursday from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Starting Tuesday, September 7, 2010, registrations will be taken Monday - Thursday from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. 

Registrations will NOT be taken on Fridays.

   Classes begin week of September 7, 2010.
