PROGRAM PROFILE

The Auto Mechanics program is a two year ASE (Automobile Service Excellence) program.  This program is intended to prepare students with the skills necessary to take and pass the Michigan Motor Vehicle Mechanic Competency Tests and enter the field of work as an advanced employee.  This program focuses on general maintenance, electrical systems service, fuel systems, engine rebuild, brake and hydraulic service, drive train service, steering and suspension and driveability.  The service area is a large lab with up-to-date equipment for the students to use.  Students work on newer, factory-donated vehicles.
