PROGRAM PROFILE

Electrical and electronic engineers and technicians are concerned with design, repair, development, manufacturing, and testing of electrical and electronic components. Products and systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, and scientific purposes are also explored.

Robotics Automation Technicians and Engineers are the people who keep the robots on the job. Robotics Technologies are being used in a variety of applications from highly specialized tasks like robotic surgery and un-staffed aircraft control, to more repetitive tasks such as vacuuming, cutting grass and many manufacturing processes.

Students in this program are trained in the following areas: basic electricity, computers, solid-state and digital electronics, communications, robotics, programmable logic controllers, motor controls, residential wiring and circuit board fabrication. Second year students will also learn about robot design construction and programming.
