Happiest Baby/Baby's First Massage Class combo. Content includes Dr. Harvey Karp's 5 S's (swaddling, side/stomach position, shushing, swinging, sucking) for soothing a fussy baby with hands-on practice and a free DVD/CD. Also includes Baby Massage instruction to promote bonding and sleep.

An intensive, home-based mental health treatment service, focused on the relationship between parent and child, is available to eligible families with infants and young children up to five-years old. This program provides individual and family therapy, parent/child psychotherapy, case management, advocacy, information/education regarding parenting/child development, and assistance with accessing psychiatric help. Services are aimed at helping parents address family stresses in a healthy manner, while identifying mental health concerns and learning healthy parenting techniques. Encouraging positive parent-child relationships and fostering the healthy growth and development of children are key goals.
Serves: Families with infants or young children up to five-years old. Eligibility criteria includes: 1) Parent with
Medicaid, or low income without insurance; (2) An infant/toddler with Medicaid insurance; (3) Parent has
mental health concerns; or, (4) The parent-child relationship or the ability to form healthy attachments is
adversely affected.

A specialized health program combines office and home visits by a nurse, dietician, and social worker for Medicaid-eligible pregnant women and their infants or children up to 36 months of age. Bay and Arenac Counties Maternal Infant Health Program is focused on providing participants with the resources needed for healthy successful pregnancies, birth of healthy infants, decreased mortality/morbidity, strong mother-child bonding, and achievement of infant milestones.
Serves: Medicaid-eligible pregnant women, regardless of age, and Medicaid-eligible children up to 36 months
of age. Risk criteria may determine enrollment.

Services and supports are available to adults, youth, and families coping with substance use/abuse issues. Services include assessment, prevention, outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, opioid replacement therapy, groups, co-occurring treatment, subacute detox, and residential.
Specialty services are also available to women who are pregnant and/or who have young children through the Women and Children's Specialty Program. These services specifically designed for women include outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, and groups. In addition, supports are provided to help women in treatment with day care and transportation assistance.

Teen Parenting Outreach Program assists Bay County pregnant or parenting teens up to age 21. Services include teen centered parenting classes/support groups, behavioral skills, outreach home visits, linkage to community resources, including appropriate medical services, incentives, health education workshops, and career education/goal planning for mothers and/or fathers. Participation in the program offers the ability to earn credits which can be used to "purchase" items from the incentive closet.
