Substitute Employee Management

Bay and Arenac County K-12 school district substitute teacher registration is managed by PCMI Education Services located in the Bay-Arenac ISD Educational Service Center, 4228 Two Mile Rd. Bay City.

All applicants are required by the State of Michigan to submit Livescan fingerprints. If you have not been Livescan fingerprinted since January 1, 2006, please call the PCMI office to schedule an appointment. The fingerprinting fee is $65.25, and is payable by check, money order, or exact cash only. Appointments for fingerprinting and application review can be scheduled Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the school year, and Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. during the summer. The following items MUST be presented in order to complete the application process:

  • Your application, which can be printed from our website at www.pcmiservices.com. Click on E-Forms, select Bay-Arenac ISD, click on substitute teacher packet then print and bring the completed forms with you to your appointment.
  • Two (2) Forms of Legal Identification: Drivers License, Social Security Card, etc.
  • Valid Teaching Certificate (Two-sided copy)
    OR
    Graduation Letter (90 day) is necessary for those individuals who have recently graduated from a teacher preparation program and who will be receiving their teaching certificate within three (3) months. Letter must indicate that you have completed all coursework and related requirements and have been recommended to the State for Teacher certification for a certificate.
    OR
    Official transcripts showing 90 credit hours or more from a four-year accredited institution with a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average.
