Mike's Monday Memo for the Week of May 14, 2007

Here’s what’s up for the week of May 14, 2007:

 

1. Regular Board Meeting - Our next Regular Board meeting is scheduled for next Monday, May 21st, starting at 4:00 p.m. at the Educational Service Center. Staff is always welcome to attend.
     
2. Mother’s Day -  I hope you all remembered your mother yesterday! If you didn’t, you might want to give her a call. You could be in BIG trouble.
     
3. Sad News – Linda Engelhardt’s father, Frederick Engelhardt, passed away Wednesday, May 8th. Please keep Linda and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
     
4. Special Education Graduation Celebration/Prom – It is with great pleasure that I notify our entire staff that our Special Education Graduation will be held on Wednesday, May16, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Bay City. This is always a wonderful way to recognize these students and their accomplishments. Please come and join the celebration. Prom will once again follow our graduation.
     
5. Congratulations – Sally Marion was selected as the School Secretary of the Year for the State of Michigan by the Michigan Association Secondary School Principals (MASSP) and Horace Mann. This is a well deserved honor. Congratulations Sally!
     
6. Special Thanks to our Buildings and Grounds Staff – Just a special thanks to our custodial and maintenance staff for their tireless efforts. Their hard work and dedication is not recognized nearly enough. The buildings and grounds look great and it is because of their dedication.
 
7. Pink Sheet – Attached is a copy of this week’s Pink Sheet from the Career Center.
8. School Year Drawing to a Close - Once again, another school year is drawing to a close. This has been a wonderful year full of challenges and opportunity to enrich the lives of our students. I can’t thank each of you enough for your time and energy in helping make this year one of the very best in our history.
