Memorial Day - |
Next Monday, May 28th, the district will be closed in recognition of the Memorial Day holiday. This is our opportunity to remember the men and women who have served or are currently serving our country in the armed forces. On behalf of the Board of Education, I would like to wish all of our staff a safe and restful holiday weekend. |

Eric Richards Memorial Golf Outing – |
On June 16, 2007, there will be a Memorial Golf Outing at Maple Leaf Golf Course in memory of Eric Richards to help raise suicide awareness, keep our loved ones safe, and strengthen our families and the community. The goal will be to assist in building a soccer field; to keep our youth involved in sports, and encourage peer and adult interaction. Part of the proceeds will go to fund our local branch of the “Yellow Ribbon” program which is a nationally recognized high school suicide prevention program. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Please view the attached documents regarding this wonderful event.

Special Thanks - |
I would like to congratulate all staff. You have been involved in all the end-of-the-year celebrations and student recognition events. Many of the students that we/you recognize may not have had this type of recognition in their home district or in any other part of their formal education. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the job you do in making the lives of our students the very best possible. Every student we have is very special. Remember that teaching is more than high test scores; it really is about enriching lives. We have to make sure we finish the race like we started. Our students deserve nothing but our very best! |

Words to live by -
|
-
Apologize immediately when you lose your temper, especially to children.
-
Don’t let weeds grow around your dreams.
-
When you tell a child to do something, don’t follow it by saying “Okay.” Instead, ask “Do you understand?”
