Mike?s Monday Memo for the week of January 7, 2008

01/07/2008

Here’s what’s up for the week of January 7, 2008:

1. Happy New Year – On behalf of the Board of Education, I would like to wish each and every one of our employees a wonderful new year.

2. Encourage You – I would suggest that each of you try something new for 2008. Have you ever thought about learning to play a musical instrument? How about setting a goal to read five books, become a volunteer or become a big brother or sister? Life is short, so make the most of it.

3. Board Recognition      Month – On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to thank our Board members for the many wonderful things they do each and everyday. It takes a very special person to serve on a public board. I am proud to say we have seven very special people.

4. Election Year – As you are aware, this is an election year. This will be a very interesting time for America. I encourage each of you to make your voice heard and VOTE. Your vote will help shape the November election.

5. Cold and Flu Season – It’s that time of year again. Use your hand sanitizer, eat healthy, get plenty of rest and exercise often. Take care of yourself. We don’t want you to be sick during this long winter season.

6. Board Meeting – The next Board meeting will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008 at the Educational Service Center at 4:00 p.m. All staff is welcome to attend.
