02/18/2008
Here’s what’s up for the week of February 18, 2008:

1 Imagination Library Update – Some of our staff have asked how many children are currently receiving books. I am pleased to announce that over 4,500 children will have a book delivered to their home this month. A special thanks to Jill Bialek for all her hard work!

2 President’s Day – No mail today in recognition of President’s day. Our Career Center is closed today. Many of our locals are closed today as well.

3 Quote - Author Ms. P. “Love and kindness are never wasted, they always make a difference.

4 Quote - Author Mama No matter what your critics say, as long as you know that you give your best, that’s what counts.”

5 Board Meeting – Our next regular meeting is tonight! It will be held in the Essexville-Hampton room at the Education Service Center. Staff is always welcome to attend.

6 Changes in the Business Office – Robyn Kuehne will now be doing payroll for the ISD. Connie Frank will be taking over Nancy Kolb’s responsibilities for benefit administration. Payroll questions should be referred to Robyn at x3220. Connie will handle benefit questions at x3256. If you have any questions about this change, contact Bruce Curtiss at x3232.

7 Career Center Allied Health Wing – The construction continues to be working towards completion. The goal is that by April 2008, all the inside work will be completed. It’s looking better and better all the time.

8 Forward E-mails – I hope you aren’t overwhelmed by the e-mails I forward to you. Hey, read what you can and delete the rest.

9 Special Thanks –  I would like to thank each of you. I don’t often see many of you on a regular basis, but I want to say thanks for all your efforts.
