Mike's Monday Memo

1. Special Thanks – Thanks to the business office for all their hard work this year with payroll, accounts payable, and general business. Also, our auditors always give our organization rave reviews on how well we are organized and prepared when they come in to do our annual audit. A lot of work goes into preparing for the audit and I commend the business office for their dedication.

2. Opening Day Survey – Please watch your e-mail as we will be forwarding to our staff a survey regarding your thoughts on “Opening Day” activities.  Your ideas and input are always helpful in planning for future events.

3. United Way – Once again, United Way will begin their annual fundraiser. If you have contributed in the past I thank you; if you have not been able to give previously, I would challenge you to consider giving this year. United Way of Bay County really does help many of our families and friends in need. More information will be coming soon!

5. Great Opening – On behalf of our Board of Education I would like to thank each and every one of you for your efforts in making the start of the 2005 school year such a tremendous success. Thanks for helping make our students feel so welcome!

6. New Superintendent – As some of you may not be aware, we have one new Superintendent in our ISD. He is Mr. Rocky Aldrich at the Arenac Eastern School District. I would request that if you are in the Arenac Eastern area that you stop by and introduce yourself to Mr. Aldrich.

7. Holiday Weekend – I would like to wish each of you a safe and happy Labor Day weekend. Enjoy yourself, play golf, go fishing, or just relax with your family. More importantly, drive safe. We need you all back here next week.
