Here’s what’s up for the week of November 7, 2005:
  1. November 8, 2005As Election Day approaches, it is important that as an education community we do everything in our power to assure our young people attend school in safe and updated facilities. Both Pinconning and Bay City Schools face bond issues on Nov 8. I encourage you to make your vote count. Remember, your vote is important!

  2. Baby News – Jenny Geno and her husband, Mark, welcomed a son into the world on Monday, November 1, 2005 at 6:02 pm. Jacob Alan weighed in at 8 lbs. 13 oz. and is 20” long. Congratulations to the Geno family!

  3. Sad News – We are sorry to tell you that Ron Wroblewski passed away on Friday, November 4, 2005. Ron was principal of the Career Center from 1986 to 1993, and CTE Director at the Career Center from 1993 to 1994.  He then worked at the BAISD Educational Service Center until 1999, when he retired on his birthday at the age of 53.  Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 2956 E. North Union Road (North Union & Two Mile) on Tuesday, November 8.  The Career Center has offered to collect money for the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.  If you would like to sign a card and/or donate, please see Darlene Ahlberg at the Career Center.

  4. Next Board Meeting – Just as a reminder, the next Board of Education work session is tonight at 4:00 p.m.

  5. United Way – I would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff who contributed to United Way this year.  We raised $6,354.00

  6. Good Luck Hunters – November 15th is just around the corner, I would like to wish all our hunters out there the best of luck.

  7. Birthday Wishes – 11/7 Mary Casper; 11/8 Janelle Neal, Donna Rosebush; 11/11 Patsy Berghuis, Mary Ellen Bluem, Bethany Briggs, Jean Neal; Happy Birthday!
