Mike's Monday Memo 11/14/2005 Here’s what’s up for the week of November 14, 2005:
- United Way – Again, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff who contributed to United Way this year. We raised $6,354.00
- Good Luck Hunters – November 15th is tomorrow. I know it’s just like Christmas for you hunters. I would like to wish all our hunters out there the best of luck. Hey, take a picture of the “Monster” and share it with us.
- Don’t Forget the TURKEY! – Just a reminder that turkeys are on sale and the big day is only 10 days away. Don’t you just LOVE this time of year? Please pass the mashed potatoes and just a little gravy too……
- Did you Know – That BAISD is one of 57 ISDs in the state? Michigan is one of only a few states that provide financial support to its ISD’s. Many other states require that ISD’s bill their locals for services.
- Program Pictures – If you have photos of your program or special events, I would like to display them on our bulletin board on our Board Room. Our Board members are always interested in seeing examples of the great things that are happening in and around the ISD. Please share them with us. I promise we will return them.
- Regular Board Meeting – The next Board meeting is next Monday, November 21, 2005 at 4:00 pm. As always, employees are welcome to attend.
- “Fall into the Holidays” and Harvest Luncheon – Our Career Center student clubs will sponsor a Holiday Bazaar and lunch. It is being held at the Bay-Arenac ISD Career Center on Saturday, November 19, 2005, at 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. It should be a lot of fun, so come on out.
- Birthday Wishes – 11/15 Julie Wheeler; 11/16 Sara Freels; 11/19 Judith Emge, Susan Karbowski, Martha Sharp; 11/20 Paul Elliott. Happy Birthday!
Words to live by this week:
-There is no greater joy or greater reward than to make a fundamental difference in someone’s life.
