- Sad News – Marie Wales’ father, Louis G. Maquet passed away suddenly on November 23, 2005. Helen Christian also passed away this past weekend. Please keep the Wales and Christian families in your thoughts and prayers.
- Regular Board Meeting – The next Board meeting is next week Monday, December 5, 2005 at 4:00 pm. As always, employees are welcome to attend.
- ISD FACTS – Did you know that on June 23, 1969 Bay City Public Schools was designated the school district to over see the operation of, at that time called the Skill Center. A five-year contract was signed by Bay City Public Schools. In September of 1972 the Bay-Arenac Skill Center opened their new building for operation and in July of 1977, Bay-Arenac ISD assumed operation of the Bay-Arenac Skill Center, now called the Bay-Arenac ISD Career Center. Enrollment at that time was 1,005 students with 23 subject areas and 27 instructors. We have come a long way since 1969 and boy have we grown. We now serve approximately 1,100 students with 25 instructors, 13 support staff in 24 subject areas.
