Mike's Monday Memo 12/05/2005 Here’s what’s up for the week of December 5, 2005:
- The Weather Out There & (In Here) – I would like to thank each of you who are helping with our energy conservation efforts. The space heaters should all be gone. If you have one that still needs to be picked up, please call Karen @ 667-3270. Just a reminder, keep turning off those lights.
- Holiday Break - The Christmas season is fast approaching. Just as a reminder, BAISD will be closed on December 23, 26 and 30 as well as January 2, 2006. All programs will be back in full swing on January 3, 2006.
- Section 125 Reminder - Once again this year, the IRS Code allows employees to deduct funds from their pay for medical reimbursement. If you have not yet signed up, you must do so by the end of the work day today. Please see Nancy Kolb in the Business Office.
- Project Blue Light - For the Past few years our Career Center Law Enforcement students and staff will celebrate Project Blue Light at the First Presbyterian Church at 805 Center Avenue in Bay City on December 6 at 7:00 p.m. Project Blue Light is a way to remember the law enforcement officers who have made the supreme sacrifice and those officers still working day in and day out to help keep our streets and homes safe. Staff is welcome to attend.
- Wreaths and Poinsettias - Our Career Center Agriscience Program is selling wreaths, poinsettias, and other Christmas decorations for the Holiday Season. If you are interested in ordering yours, please call the Agriscience Program at ext. 3442. If you need an order form, please click here.
- Special Education Open House - Craft items from the students will be on sale again this year on Thursday, December 8 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Living and Learning Center-Bay Campus.
- Regular Board Meeting – The next Board meeting is tonight, December 5, 2005 at 4:00 pm. As always, employees are welcome to attend.
- Inclement Weather/Snow Day Clarification – Attached is the procedure in writing for school/building/program closings. It’s that time of year again! Click here to view the procedure.
