Mike's Monday Memo 01/16/2006 Here’s What’s Up for the Week of January 16, 2006:
- Board Recognition Month - Again, on behalf of the entire staff, I would like to thank our Board Members for the many wonderful things they do each and everyday. It takes a very special person to serve on a public school board. I am proud to say we have seven very special people.
- Adult Education Classes - If you know of anyone that would be interested in enrolling in the BAISD Adult Education program, they can contact Amy Muempfer at 667-3267 for further information.
- Martin Luther King Jr. – As you are aware, today is the day we honor a great American. Dr. King had a vision for America that all of us, no matter what our nationality, would live together in respect and harmony of each other. The –Dream– lives on today almost forty years after Dr. King’s march in Washington. Today, I call on each of you to remember Dr. King and how he stood for all Americans. You can read Dr. King’s speech “I have a dream” by going to the following website: www.mecca.org/~crights/dream.html.
- Next Board Meeting - Our next meeting is tonight at 4:00 pm. As always staff is welcome.
- Birthday Wishes -1/17 Margaret Meagher; 1/18 Paul Nichol; 1/19 Arlene Walter; 1/21 Bethany Jezak; 1/22 Colleen Fica, Angela Szejbach. Happy Birthday!
Words to live by this week:
You can either complain that rose bushes have thorns—or rejoice that thorn bushes have roses.
