-
Midland Tennis Tournament - Just a reminder that our Career Center students will once again be working with the Midland Tennis Club this week. Our students will prepare food and market the ladies tennis event. If you have the opportunity to stop by, you will be sure to see great tennis matches and future stars as well as our young people gaining a great deal of experience.
- Reminder to all you Romantics – Next Tuesday, February 14th is Valentine’s Day! Be sure to remember that special someone.
- Spring is Just Around the Corner - Only 42 more days until the first day of spring. Hey, it’s just around the corner.
- Sad News - Beth Jarve's mother-in-law passed away Sunday, February 5, 2006, after a brief illness. The funeral is Wednesday in Carelton (near Monroe, Michigan). If you need additional information, please call Carolyn Urban in the Special Education Department at ext. 3214.
- Special Events or Announcements - Just remember, if you have something special to share with our staff please forward it on to Brenda or me. We like to share the many great things that happen each and every day.
- Tenth Grade Visitations - Last week, our area high schools sent their 10th graders to our Career Center to visit our programs. The event was outstanding. I would like to thank all our staff at the Career Center who helped make this event a success.
- Board Meeting - Our February Board meetings are as follows: tonight, February 6, 2006 and Monday, February 20, 2006. Both meetings will be held at the Educational Service Center starting at 4:00 pm.

Simple Rules for Computer Security - If you’re worried about computer security, then follow these simple rules to ensure safe computing:
· Always be sure to log off.
· Make sure you have and know some back-up resources.
· Don’t forget your PDA. Even though it’s small, it can still be a big security risk.
· Always be aware of possible theft.
· Don’t make your password too easy, and change it often.
Understand your ISD security policy; if you don’t know it, ask.
- Birthday Wishes – 2/06 Donna Borucki; 2/07 Kathleen McBride; 2/08 Penny Bunnell; 2/10 Jeanne Arnold, Kevin Spencer and Connie Witzke; 2/11 Bruce Curtiss, Leonard Fauble and Darcy Goss; 2/12 Nancy Gielda and Jennifer Rupprecht. Happy Birthday to everyone!
Words to live by this week:
The best thing to do behind a friend’s back is to pat it.
