Mike's Monday Memo

02/27/2006

Here’s what’s up for the week of February 27, 2006:

 1.

 Adult Education –

Beginning today, February 27th, the Adult Education hours will be changed. The new hours are Monday through Thursday 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm and Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

 2.

Federally Mandated Topics –

We have posted our Blood borne pathogens brochure from NEA on our ISD website. The information can be found in the Employment Banner. Check it out.

 3.

Last few days of February –

We can only hope that the bad weather is behind us. Two long months done and one yet to go. Just 21 days until the first day of spring.

 4.

Upcoming Legislative Breakfast –

Our next scheduled Legislative Breakfast will be on Friday, March 3, 2006. This is always a great time to have our local Board members and Superintendents meet and talk to our representatives face-to-face about current issues happening in Lansing.  If you have any special comments or information you would like me to share with our Legislators just give Brenda or me a call.

 Something to Think About –

Parents need to fill a child’s bucket of self-esteem so high that the rest of the world can’t poke enough holes in it to drain it dry.
