- Retirement - On behalf of the Board of Education, I would like to recognize two wonderful employees, Lee Bronson and Nancy Kolb. Nancy Kolb has worked for Bay-Arenac ISD for 29 years. She worked in our Business Office at the Educational Service Center. Lee Bronson has worked for Bay-Arenac ISD for 24 years; most recently at our Career Center as an Office Professional. Congratulations to both of these employees and we wish them the very best!
- Sharing Fun Things You Have Done – We all remember that teacher who would ask us “What did you do this summer.” Not to be out done I, too, would like to know what you did this summer. Did you go on a trip? Did you or a family member earn a degree? I would like to be able to share with our staff your accomplishments. So don’t be shy and send your events and happenings to either Brenda or me. We need your help and remember, if you don’t blow our own horn, no one else will!
- Pre-retirement Information Meeting Dates – Attached is a list of pre-retirement meeting dates for 2006-07. Please note that the closest meeting in our area this year will be at the University Center Delta College on October 16, 2006. If you want to register for one of these meetings, go to www.michigan.gov and in the search box, put in pre-retirement seminars. Form there, click on the “Pre-retirement Seminars” and it will take you to a Michigan map. From there, click on the map entitled Upper East Region. Parents need to fill a child’s bucket of self-esteem so high that the world can’t poke enough holes in it to drain it dry.
