Mike?s Monday Memo for the week of March 12, 2007

03/12/2007

Here’s what’s up for the week of March 12, 2007:

1.

Regular Board Meeting -

The next meeting of the Bay-Arenac ISD Board of Education will be held on Monday, March 19, 2007, at 4:00 p.m. at the Educational Service Center. Staff is always welcome.

2.

St. Patrick’s Day -

Isn’t this the day everyone is just a little “Irish.” I would like to wish each of you a happy and safe St. Patrick’s Day. “May the wind always be at your back and the sun always on your face.” Keep smiling!

3. Spring Arrives - Spring officially arrives on Wednesday, March 21, 2007. It has been a long winter.

4. Change your clocks - I trust you all remembered to “spring ahead” Daylight savings time started early this year and it will end later as well. We all lost one hour and we won’t get it back until November. Enjoy the longer days.

5. Invite me - Please don’t forget, if you have a special event and need a helping hand, give me a call. I will make every effort to attend your events.

6. Record Retention – Please view the attachment regarding Record Retention.

7. Career Center Student Activities - I would like to thank our entire staff who helped last Saturday March 3rd at our Regional Competition. Our students did very well and one big reason is the great job our Career Center staff does to prepare our students.

8. Special Olympics - I would like to extend a special thanks to all our staff that helped last Saturday, March 3rd with our basketball tournaments at Handy. This was a great event and it would not have been possible without a lot of great people. You are the best!

9. Birthday Wishes – Happy Birthday!
