Substitute Employee Management
  • PCMI has been contracted to manage our Substitute Employee Management System.
    • School Year office hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.;
    • Summer office hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. 0 4:00 p.m.;

    • Applications are accepted during open enrollment
      Tuesday 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., Thursday 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., or by appointment.
    • Bay and Arenac County K-12 school district substitute teacher registration.
  • The following items MUST be presented at an enrollment meeting:
  • Your application, this can be printed off our website at www.pcmiwest.com, go to e-forms, click on Bay-Arenac ISD, click on Substitute teacher packet then print it off and bring it with you to your appointment.
  • Two (2) Forms of Legal Identification: Drivers License, Social Security Card, etc.
  • Valid Teaching Certificate: (Two-sided copy)

OR

    • Graduation Letter (90 day) is necessary for those individuals who have recently graduated from a teacher preparation program and who will be receiving their teaching certificate within three (3) months. Letter must indicate that you have completed all coursework and related requirements and have been recommended to the State for Teacher certification for a certificate.

OR

    • Official transcripts or a copy of official transcripts showing 90 credit hours or more from a four-year accredited institution or an expired teaching certificate from those who wish to substitute for Grand Rapids Public Schools and are not certified teacher. PCMI WEST will only accept official transcripts or a copy of official transcripts.
  • $65.25 for your background check (fingerprints); this can be check, money order, or exact cash. (This is required by the state if you have not had your fingerprints done as of January 1, 2006.)
