21 Things 4 Students

These free, quest-based activities are specifically designed to integrate technology into classrooms in grades 6–9. Using the reimagined “Thing 3” as a guide, this session demonstrates how students navigate the “Hero Lab” to discover their strengths, protect their privacy, and master digital citizenship through gamified challenges. Digital Citizenship in the Age of AI

This interactive session helps K–12 educators navigate digital citizenship and literacy in the age of AI. Explore how the Michigan Integrated Tech Competencies (MITECS) help shift students from passive consumers of technology to critical thinkers. By evaluating ready-to-use resources on deepfakes, privacy, and ethical AI, teachers will leave with practical strategies to foster a safe digital learning environment at all grade levels.

This session can also be broken down into shorter sessions focusing on one or two specific Google apps.

Integrating Generative AI Lessons in YOUR Classroom

Learn to integrate K–12 generative AI lessons aligned with MITECS and ISTE standards. Participants will evaluate ready-to-use resources from Code.org, Common Sense Media, and 21 Things for Students and leave with actionable projects to empower students as informed AI users.

Intentional Integration of Technology in Early Elementary Classrooms

This session provides K–2 educators with purposeful strategies to move beyond passive screen time and leverage digital tools to support foundational learning goals. Participants will explore essential technology competencies and practical, hands-on activities designed to introduce young learners to responsible digital citizenship.
