MTSS Action Plan 2022 - 2026

MTSS supports BAISD’s mission and vision by assisting district leaders, educators, and community stakeholders in developing infrastructures that support high-quality, sustained implementation of effective, data-driven practices within a tiered-delivery system resulting in improved outcomes for all learners.


Objective

Develop a BAISD MTSS Implementation Team and deepen the knowledge and skills of  the team in order to create infrastructures and use developed procedures and processes.

Year One: 2022 - 2023

  • Select an implementation team of cross-departmental members for exploration, data collection, and process development. 
  • Collect systems data from the BAISD Administrative Leadership Team.
  • Provide professional learning on Implementation Science to the BAISD Administrative Leadership Team and the BAISD MTSS Implementation Team.

Year Two: 2023 - 2024

  • Collect and analyze data from BAISD ALT and the BAISD strategic planning process. 
  • Continue to provide professional learning on Implementation Science to the BAISD Administrative Leadership Team and the BAISD MTSS Implementation Team.
  • Develop capacity within the BAISD Implementation Team to understand the priority initiatives in local districts identified through the MICIP process.

YEARS THREE and FOUR: 2024 - 2025 and 2025-2026

Implement processes selected, within our ISD and local districts, through the MTSS tiered delivery model.
Collect/analyze feedback from internal stakeholders and LEAs for use in the strategic planning and continuous improvement processes.

Objective

Create and implement a consistent, organization-wide Initiative inventory and  selection and deselection process. 

Year One: 2022 - 2023

  • Explore existing MTSS initiatives.  

Year Two: 2023 - 2024

  • Determine priority initiatives and develop an initiative inventory.
  • Build professional learning plans for our teams to scale up the priority initiatives.
  • Develop the process for implementation of initiatives. 
  • Pilot the process and collect/analyze feedback to refine the processes. 

YEARS THREE and FOUR: 2024 - 2025 and 2025-2026

  • Collect/analyze feedback after each use for continuous improvement of the process.
  • Develop the processes for selection and deselection of new initiatives.

Objective

Develop and use a clear and consistent MTSS Communication Plan for all BAISD Stakeholders. 

Year Two: 2023 - 2024

Develop and implement a communication plan for teams within BAISD’s MTSS project, specifically 
the MTSS Implementation Team, the Administrative Leadership Team, and local districts. 
Survey internal and external stakeholders to assess effectiveness of the communication plan and processes.

YEARS THREE and FOUR: 2024 - 2025 and 2025-2026

Continue to implement the plan. 
Survey internal and external groups annually to assess effectiveness of the communication plan and make necessary revisions as needed.
